Dear Friends and Supporters of Hope For Haiti’s Children,
Several years ago, myself and two friends in the Christian music market had a vision of a large regional Christian music festival that would benefit Hope For Haiti’s Children.
This past year we set out to make this event a reality and found a willing partner at the Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels. After negotiations, we able to get some of the most prestigious artists in the industry to commit to helping us in this venture. All summer we have worked towards putting together a quality event that would be a benefit to the community as well as to our charities.
Many of you have agreed to take your holiday time to come and work at the festival and I thank each and everyone who has agreed to help.
All this being said, our ticket sales have come to a virtual halt in the last 6 weeks and the mounting reality is that sometimes, no matter how hard we work or how hard we want something to work, it is not in God’s will.
After careful consideration, we have decided that the best decision is to cancel the event and minimize the loss that we have incurred so far. We looked at other options of having the event in a smaller form or a modified format but nothing makes sense at this time.
It is difficult to say whether the economy is to fault or the holiday weekend and we will probably never know for sure but it was not meant to be!
If you have planned to attend and have bought your tickets, please contact itickets.com for a full refund. Be patient as it may take a few days to get the refund system up and running but we will be sure to refund everyone their full price.
If you were planning to help at the event and had hotel reservations, please cancel them or just have a great weekend in New Braunfels. We may be planning a motorcycle event in lieu of the HillFest so let me know if you are interested.
To everyone who has worked hard to make this event a reality, we apologize and hope that you understand our position. It would be much better to use the funds we would lose at this event and just give them to the ministries we had intended to help.
